When I was just a babe my mom and daddy made
The priest pick me up and dump me in a bath
even though I’m innocent I’m guilty of original sin
So if I die then I'll probably burn in hell
When I was eight I had to get in line
To eat a cracker and take a sip of wine
They said it was the flesh of Christ
They said it was it was the blood of Christ
Awe man, that shit really freaked me out
And then when i turned ten the priest he made me sit
In a tiny booth and tell him what I did
I told him I said "shit". I told him I said "fuck" and I kicked my little brother in the nuts
"Say some hail Mary's. Say some holy father's
Do your rosary you rotten little turd"
So I left the booth and sat at my pew
The priest said his chant and sang this catchy tune
"Christ has died, Christ is Risen. Christ will come again."
Then in my teenage years my mind clouded with fear
I learned my friend Hilary was killed in an accident
I collapsed to the floor I called out her name
I couldn't breathe I couldn't see as I wailed into the night
Christ has died Christ has risen Christ will come again
But you won't see your friend ever again.
At her funeral I walked up to her casket. her dad was standing there
He put his hand on my shoulder
He said "Kurt, you know, she really loved you"
I told him I didn't know what to say. He said I didn't need to say anything
Then the room went black. I landed on my back. I can't remember what happened after that
